Rockville, MD, USA, March 10, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) today announced the names of 132 professionals who have passed one of two Regulatory Affairs Certification Exams ( RAC) in the fall of 2021. Upon successful completion, they obtain the title RAC-Drugs or RAC-Devices. RAC credentials are the primary certifications for regulatory professionals in the healthcare products industry and the only regulatory credentials in this industry to be accredited by the National Commission of Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Obtaining an RAC credential requires knowledge of health product regulations and the analytical and critical thinking skills to apply them in practice. The RAC-Drugs exam covers regulations for pharmaceuticals and biologics, and the RAC-Devices exam covers regulations for medical devices and technology. Proctored exams can be taken at test centers around the world or online.
“On behalf of RAPS, I would like to congratulate these 132 dedicated professionals. Obtaining an RAC is truly a milestone in a regulatory career,” said RAPS Acting Executive Director Bill McMoil. “Passing one of the two tough exams is a real accomplishment. Candidates for RAC credentials often spend months preparing, and success requires more than just memorization. In the real world, regulatory professionals constantly face complex and unique challenges, and exams reflect that. »
RAC-accredited professionals are among current and emerging leaders in the regulatory profession. To maintain the title, RAC holders must recertify every three years by demonstrating continuous learning, professional development, regulatory leadership, and an ongoing overall commitment to the profession. There are over 5,000 professionals worldwide who hold current RAC credentials.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2022 RAC summer and fall exam periods. For more information, visit RAPS.org/rac.
