Absolute Software bolsters its security capability with BlackBerry

Endpoint Self-Healing and Secure Access Solutions Absolute Software has partnered with software company BlackBerry to augment CylanceProtect with Absolute’s application persistence capabilities for joint customers.

Adding to the company’s Application Persistence ecosystem, joint Absolute Resilience customers can extend Absolute’s firmware-integrated self-healing device connection to BlackBerry’s Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP).

absolute software says it provides an indelible digital tether to every device. Its Application Persistence service leverages a two-way connection to monitor the health and behavior of critical security applications; identify if it is missing or corrupt; and automatically repair or reinstall components as needed, without human intervention.

BlackBerry CylanceProtect provides automated malware prevention, application and script control, memory protection, and device policy enforcement.

“The ability to extend Absolute’s indelible line of defense and self-healing to CylanceProtect gives us confidence that we are delivering on our promise to protect our customers against zero-day exploits, ransomware and other malicious activity in today’s perimeterless workplaces. “, comments the vice president of technical solutions of BlackBerry Alex Willis.

“Our data shows that the complexity of today’s distributed endpoint environments has left security applications under constant threat of colliding with other applications or being disabled by malicious or careless users,” says Absolute Software’s senior vice president of global alliances. Edward Choi.

“By joining our Application Persistence ecosystem, BlackBerry enables our joint customers to harden and self-heal their critical application at the firmware level – ensuring it remains healthy and operating efficiently to protect their data, devices and systems. sensitive.”
