ADVA launches network security company to protect critical cloud traffic from cyberattacks

ADVA launched Adva Network Security, a specialist security company committed to protecting critical communication networks from cyberattacks.

The new, separate company will complement ADVA’s networking technology portfolio with proven and proven security controls to protect critical connectivity applications. It will develop, produce and integrate encryption technology capable of resisting increasingly sophisticated threats.

With its own IT infrastructure and secure data centers in Germany, Adva Network Security will work with national security organizations to provide end-to-end network protection that meets the highest industry requirements, including protection data from attacks by quantum computers.

“By creating Adva Network Security, we are ensuring that networks can offer new levels of protection to protect ever more sensitive communications such as national security services. We live in a world where the value of information is increasing. At the same time, hackers and hostile government actors have unprecedented financial resources. Our new independent organization of highly specialized security experts will ensure the protection of the most sensitive data in motion at every layer of the network,” said Michael Roth, Managing Director of Adva Network Security.

“Increasingly, companies and their customers are prioritizing the integrity and confidentiality of critical business processes and services. Our unique institution and the extensive and unparalleled expertise of our team will provide the network protection they need,” continued Roth.

With its own secure facilities in Germany, Adva Network Security will provide connectivity solutions that meet the highest industry requirements. It will leverage ADVA’s portfolio of security technologies, including its optical transport solution which was the first on the market to be approved by the German Federal Ministry for Information Security (BSI) for transmission of classified data up to VS-V, followed by ADVA’s Ethernet encryption solution in late 2022.

Adva Network Security solutions inherit ADVA’s NIST 140-2 certification for various products, ensuring encryption meets the stringent requirements of US security authorities. The company is also in the process of obtaining FIPS 140-3 certification. Additionally, the company offers high-speed quantum secure transport, allowing customers to apply scalable security solutions to their infrastructure and ensuring that valuable information cannot be captured and stored today, ready to be decrypted when large-scale quantum computers will become readily available.

“The network security landscape is more dangerous and difficult to navigate than ever, and that’s before we even consider the threat of quantum computing attacks looming on the horizon. By creating Adva Network Security as a separate entity, we are empowering businesses and governments to address this most pressing issue. Through our new company, we enable customers to comprehensively address the data vulnerability crisis that threatens all aspects of our lives,” commented Christoph Glingener, CEO of ADVA.

“Adva Network Security’s encryption technology has been tested by the most experienced and knowledgeable experts. It secures even the fastest data connections with the lowest latency, protecting communications without compromising transmission quality,” Glingener continued.
