Apple Devices and IGMP Snooping Enabled or Disabled?

Hi all, I have a topic that has been covered before, but most of what I can find is a few years old. Also, I wasn’t sure which category to add this to, so I thought I’d add it to iOS because it can apply to multiple devices.

Most of the old articles that discuss this subject state that IMGP Snooping may affect the performance of AirPlay or screen mirroring.
The articles I’ve read also say don’t do this unless you need to. My question is, when using devices that are currently on or off, I haven’t noticed a difference in functionality on a home network. Do things written years ago still apply to modern networks, or is it now outdated information? I’m asking the question here because I couldn’t find any good recent articles with updated information.

The other reason I ask is that I recently purchased an Asus RT-AX86U, and it has a lot more to fix than the cheaper routers I was looking for. However, it is difficult to determine which parameters apply and which do not. I’ve narrowed down the settings to use based on the datasheets I’ve read and the types of devices connected to the network. However, this IGMP and multicast can sometimes be a bit confusing, because sometimes it looks like it might apply, when it really doesn’t.

Thanks for any help.
