The Institute of Communication Systems (ICS) is looking to recruit a Chief Network Architect for its 5G and 6G Innovation Center (5G/6GIC).

For this exciting opportunity, the incumbent will be responsible for the technical team that leads the continuous development and delivery of software for various 5G/6GIC projects within ICS. This will include the development of key software technologies to ensure that its evolution fits into the ever-evolving 6G strategies of the University and its multinational partners. Expert domain knowledge and an understanding of the industry will be an advantage, as will your ability to work successfully with a variety of end users, often under demanding circumstances. In addition to technical work; problem solving and decision making are integral to many aspects of the work to be undertaken during the software development process. Significant elements of this role will require a high degree of autonomy within your defined project area, resolving potential conflicts in complex individual projects to maintain alignment with the overall 5/6G strategy.

ICS is the largest academic research institute in Europe specializing in all aspects of ICT (Information and Communication Technology). It houses more than 200 researchers specializing in all communication and broadcasting systems and has developed the best large-scale testbeds for research and innovation and benefits from state-of-the-art laboratory and computing facilities. technology.

Relevant degree (Electronic Engineering or Computer Science) / Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in System Architect, Software Architect, Team Management and 4G/5G Network Data Center Design.
