Everything is set for the start of Critical Communications World 2022. The annual event, organized by The Critical Communications Association (TCCA), will be held this year at the Messe Wien Exhibition Congress Center in Austria, from June 21-23.
The three days of conferences and exhibitions of the latest solutions will involve a wide range of stakeholders ranging from system manufacturers and decision makers to leading companies in different sectors and services.
Critical communications
In addition to being crucial for homeland security and infrastructure protection, critical communications play a key role in public and rail transport, in smart mobility services and for companies at the forefront of Industry 4.0 challenges. .
The sector is going through a significant technological evolution, as the advent of new broadband systems (LTE/5G) opens up new alternatives to the services currently based on voice and text on narrowband networks.
With its new solutions, Leonardo is leading this transition to allow first responders and law enforcement professionals, but also transport, critical infrastructure organizations and industries to benefit from the advantages of these new technologies.
With this in mind, Leonardo is presenting in Vienna a series of systems and solutions around three main themes:
- Critical hybrid ecosystem: an ecosystem based on the multi-carrier hybrid network, named RIM, which enables coexistence and seamless interoperability between narrowband and broadband communications, also including the Critical control room and the X2030 global monitoring platform.
- Broadband communication solutions: the mission-critical MCXPTT, based on the model expected by the 3GPP MCX standard, fully supporting voice, video and data communications. In addition, this area also hosts the MCX system, developed by Leonardo for Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) applications in accordance with 3GPP guidelines for critical LTE and 5G services for rail transport: Mission Critical Push To Talk (MCPTT), Mission Critical Data (MCData) and Mission Critical Video (MCVideo).
- Cyber-secure communication : cyber threat intelligence and endpoint protection solutions to protect communications infrastructure from cyber threats. In addition, this area also includes the Cyber Range and Cyber Trainer platforms, used within Leonardo Cyber & Security Academywhich demonstrate the relevance of specialized and continuous training for operators involved in network security.
Conferences
Leonardo, platinum sponsor of CCW2022, comes to the exhibition with a wide range of speakers from the Cyber & Security Solutions division who will speak at the conference on June 22.
Valerio Di Claudio, CTO – Grants and R&D collaborations, will participate in the panel on the future of rail communications. On the same subject, Silvia FanigliuloInternational Sales Manager, will illustrate Leonardo’s solutions, based on the TETRA standard, which guarantee encryption and cybersecurity in the Singapore metro. Angelo Benvenuto, Head of Solutions & Product Marketing, will speak about security in critical communications for Industry 4.0.
