Likewise, Extreme Networks partners to secure medical devices

Healthcare and life sciences facilities have seen an increase in cyberattacks with the growth of connected IoT medical devices.

To help prevent unauthorized access to medical devices, Asimily and Extreme Networks are partnering to help healthcare institutions prevent unauthorized access to IoT-based medical devices.

Asimily is a provider of Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) risk management platforms, while Extreme Networks is a provider of cloud-based networking solutions.

Through this partnership, Asimily Insights will be integrated with ExtremeCloud IQ Controller, a cloud-based wired and wireless network management solution from Extreme Networks.

“Asimily’s intuitive platform helps us identify and respond to the most critical risks to our organization, and integration with Extreme’s solutions allows us to apply policies to devices as needed and address any concerns that may impact the confidentiality, integrity or availability of IoT and medical devices and their data,” said Ali Youssef, Director of Medical Device Security and IoT at Henry Ford Health.

“Together, these solutions enable us to close the gaps we previously had in our ability to manage device security and ensure that we can continue to provide services to patients, which is always our primary concern,” he said. -he adds.

Asimily Insights’ integration with ExtremeCloud IQ Controller provides a seamless solution for detecting exploitable vulnerabilities and applying policies to help identify and prevent cyberattacks.

“ExtremeCloud IQ Controller provides unified services and features in a simplified management console for onsite and offsite deployments. On-premises deployment is critical for many healthcare delivery organizations (HDOs),” said Dinesh Katiyar, Business Development Manager at Asimily. “This integrated solution gives HDOs a better vulnerability management platform with the flexibility to deploy on-premises.”

Asimily Insights uses AI-based analysis to prioritize exploitable vulnerabilities and prescribe clinically viable solutions outside of segmentation and blocking that are easy to implement. These corrections are transmitted to ExtremeCloud IQ Controller to centrally enforce network access policies to secure the device.

Additionally, for devices where segmentation is the only option, Asimily Insights generates policies that are passed to ExtremeCloud IQ Controller to configure, isolate, segment, and micro-segment devices on the network.

“Hospital systems and healthcare providers around the world rely on Extreme’s solutions. Our integration with Asimily creates a purpose-built solution for healthcare IT teams and enables them to find and address vulnerabilities before they are exploited, as well as ensuring the necessary security measures to keep clinical operations safe are in place,” said Bob Zemke, Director. , Business development at Extreme Networks.
