An exciting opportunity for Network / Telecommunications Engineering graduates to work with Kube Networks Ltd. and UWS is now available through a 24-month full-time Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP). The successful candidate will be employed by the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) but will be based at KubeNet’s head office. The associate will be fully supported by company staff and staff from the University’s School of Business and Creative Industries. In addition, the associate will receive mentoring support from a local KTP advisor and have access to UWS KTP center staff, providing them with additional support and guidance during your time as a KTP associate and providing access to a broad network of KTP projects across the UK. .

The role

The project is at the heart of KubeNet’s ambitious growth plans and its transition from a small regional telecommunications company (network and technology) to a carrier-class network provider capable of delivering value-added managed services over its own network. “Intelligent” high performance, as networks 1/10 Gb or 100 Gb and dark fiber of the future.

What we are looking for


  • Minimum BSc / MSc / MEng in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or related fields.

To live:

  • Professional experience in the maintenance and operation of computer networks and related services and proven experience in cloud solutions and CISCO business customers such as VPN and MS system such as MS Azure.
  • Experience using machine learning and artificial intelligence software libraries (e.g. Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras and others) with a proven track record in developing and implementing mining algorithms and feature detection.
  • Experience in visualizing data flow and system automation and user interface such as customer view / dashboard.
  • Experience in technical writing and preparation of reports and documentation.
