New Delhi [India], Oct. 22 (ANI): After India hits the milestone of administering more than 100 crore in COVID-19 vaccine doses, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged citizens to celebrate upcoming festivals with the utmost care, adding that the armor of the vaccine inoculation does not guarantee full protection against the virus.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Modi urged people to continue to follow COVID protocols and said: “It doesn’t matter how good the armor is, it doesn’t matter how modern the armor is, even if the armor guarantees full protection, weapons are not thrown during battle. I ask that we should celebrate our holidays with the utmost care. ” “I appeal to all those who have not taken the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to give vaccination the highest priority. Those who are vaccinated should encourage others,” he added.
The Prime Minister also reiterated his call for the “Vocal For Local” bugle and called on people to buy “Made in India” products during the festival season.
“The focus must be on purchasing products made in India. This will only be possible with individual efforts. We must put into practice the purchase of products made by Indians, being Vocal For Local.” , did he declare.
Meanwhile, more than 100.59 crore vaccine doses have so far been administered to eligible beneficiaries, according to the Department of Health and Family Welfare. (ANI)
