Security Centric, an information security consulting and services organization spun off from the Australian Federal Government and Defence, has announced the appointment of Sameh Girgis as Senior Security Consultant.
Based in Sydney, Girgis will be responsible for strengthening and propelling the company’s managed security and consulting services across a wide range of industries and sectors.
Girgis joins Security Centric with over 20 years of experience working with public and private sector organizations in Australia, North America and the Middle East, having held leadership positions in information security, l systems engineering and security architecture.
Girgis previously worked at Trend Micro as a security architect, where he was responsible for leading the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) program and certification for Cloud-One Compliance, the cloud application Trend Micro’s Security Posture Management (CSPM), as well as improving its internal security practices across people, processes and technology.
Previously, he was Information Security Manager at Agilyx Group, Platform Manager at MSC Mobility Solutions, Senior Enterprise Technical Support Analyst at Dell, and Network/Database Administrator at the US Department of State.
In addition, Girgis has also held system engineering and IT management positions for Eli Lilly, Raya Telecom, Servier and Cegedim.
