Zero Trust Edge Expert Joins Microsoft Security Association

iboss, a Zero Trust Edge Expert, has expanded its relationship with Microsoft by joining the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), an ecosystem of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) that have integrated their security products and services with Microsoft security products.

Through this collaboration with Microsoft, joint customers benefit from secure and fast access to resources from anywhere, which also enables greater visibility and immediate response to threats, the company says.

iboss has integrations with Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Applications and Microsoft Purview Information Protection to further enhance an organization’s value from its Microsoft 365 E5 investment, according to the company.

These solutions offer new features that are fully integrated and easy to deploy. This includes the following items.

Identify: iboss forces modern authentication to all resources including legacy applications under the Azure Active Directory (AAD) umbrella. When users authenticate through Azure Active Directory, iboss grants or denies access to resources per transaction, with real-time conditional access policies applied to re-authenticate or enforce multi-factor authentication with Azure Active Directory.

Security: iboss integration with Microsoft Sentinel, now available on Azure Marketplace, integrates high-fidelity logs on requested users and resources, as well as real-time active defense workflows allowing SOC analysts to respond quickly and automatically to important threats. Deployment is straightforward after just a few mouse clicks.

Additionally, iboss’ integration with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps extends visibility and protection with advanced CASB capabilities by automatically syncing Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps policies and signatures to enforce governance actions. for secure access to cloud applications.

Compliance: iboss automatically detects and prevents the transfer of files marked with unified Microsoft Purview Information Protection labels and exploits them with iboss’ DLP Zero Trust rules. Additionally, full visibility into the denied transfer request between user and resource is available in Microsoft Sentinel to take further action as well as Conditional Access rules in Azure Active Directory.

Cloud: Protection of Azure resource workloads with the iboss service deployed and running directly in Azure on a per-tenant basis is now available on Microsoft Azure Marketplace. With the ability of the iboss service to now be deployed directly in Azure, a unique customer IP address can be anchored to each Azure tenant ID, creating a tight bond of zero trust.

iboss co-founder and CEO Paul Martini said, “Our Zero Trust Edge platform enables Microsoft customers and distributed employees anywhere in the world to connect securely and directly to any application, wherever that they work.

“We help Microsoft customers complete their zero trust journey by granting users secure access to critical resources on a demand basis. The depth and breadth of our integrations are unmatched and provide the protection scenarios The most common.

“iboss is purpose-built to prevent breaches by shifting the focus from network perimeter protection to asset protection, and we’re proud to expand to cover Microsoft Security E5 applications with highly differentiated integrations.”

Microsoft General Manager of Business Development Desmond Forbes says, “Preventing unauthorized access to critical resources is critical to zero trust.

“iboss’ capabilities ensure trusted users can connect to protected resources from anywhere through advanced integrations with Microsoft’s identity, security and compliance platform to help achieve zero trust goals of our mutual customers.”

The iboss zero trust platform is purpose-built, patented, cloud-delivered security with over 100 points of presence globally.

An iboss-based Zero Trust architecture consolidates network security technologies (SWG, CASB, DLP, IPS, malware protection, browser isolation, firewalls) into a single unified cloud platform and eliminates the need for a VPN while securing any device, regardless of location.

By making all apps private, iboss eliminates the top three ransomware infection vectors identified by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
